The position is to join the lab of Associate Professor Jose M. Polo as a bioinformatician to conduct your own independent research, as well as participate in different projects involving the transcriptional regulation of cellular identity under different contexts such as somatic cell nuclear reprogramming, differentiation, aging and disease.
The applicant must have a PhD in bioinformatics, computational biology, mathematics, or a PhD in biology with strong statistical and computational skills. A track record demonstrating high productivity and previous experience in analysing high-throughput DNA sequencing applications including ATAC-seq, RNA-seq, ChIP-seq is essential (applications that do not meet this criterion will not be considered).
This position is a 12-month fixed term position with the possibility for renewal (subject to meeting research performance standards and funding availability).
This role is a full-time position; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.
