The Executive Services is a unit of the Vice-Chancellor’s office responsible for the provision of executive support to council, academic board and a range of key committees.
The position is located within Executive Services. We provide high-level executive support to a range of bodies including Council, Academic Board and a range of key university committees, including committees of Academic Board.
As the successful candidate you will deliver Secretariat services to Monash University’s Academic Board and to the university’s controlled entities and lead the provision of advice and executive support to the President of Academic Board, Chairs of controlled entities and related key university committees including the management of elections.
Working closely and collaboratively with the Office of the General Counsel in relation to legal affairs and with other key stakeholders, you will be responsible for ensuring Monash’s controlled entities meet their governance requirements through management of processes, policies and procedures relating to meetings of the Board, membership of Boards and compliance with ASIC and ACNC requirements.
To truly excel in this role you will:
- Have demonstrated management experience in the university sector or within a large and complex management structure
- Be extremely motivated with a passion for delivering high level customer service to a range of key stake holders
- Have highly developed interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to negotiate, influence and build consensus at senior levels
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to manage conflict, priorities and differing points of review
