An exciting opportunity exists for a Paralegal, with demonstrated experience, to provide high level support to the team within the Office of the General Counsel (OGC) who provide legal services for the university.
Reporting to the General Counsel, your primary responsibility will be to assist the lawyers by undertaking a caseload which will include the preparation, review and execution of documents, retrieving information and undertaking research as well as providing accurate and timely advice and guidance to clients.
As such, you will have the proven ability to prioritise a significant file load and work to achieve outcomes within tight timeframes, whilst maintaining excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. Demonstrated experience in providing successful paralegal services and a degree in Law with extensive relevant experience, or extensive paralegal experience, or an equivalent combination of experience and/or training is essential.
To be considered, you will have highly-developed relationship management skills, including the ability to interact with and gain cooperation from internal and external stakeholders at various levels. Your ability to work as a vital member of a team, as well as being able to exercise substantial levels of independence, judgement, initiative and appropriately identify when to seek supervision, will be pivotal to your success in this role.
