The Opportunity

The School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine has an exciting opportunity available for an energetic and personable individual with previous experience to be the new Executive Assistant to the Head of School. If you have excellent organisational skills and thrive in busy, complex environments then this could be the position for you!

As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for providing high-level administrative support to the Head of School, along with a range of professional administrative support services to all levels of staff within the busy and dynamic School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine. Your interpersonal skills will be a great asset as you develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to complete a variety of organisational duties. You will have the ability to be flexible in a fast-paced environment, as well as maintain confidentiality and show discretion in sensitive situations.

Strong communication and organisational skills are pivotal in this role as you will provide administrative services to a broad range of individuals and working groups within the school. Knowledge of university online systems such as ESS, Concur and REX is highly desirable, as you will be responsible for coordinating some HR and finance tasks on behalf of the Head of School.

To excel in this role you will have relevant tertiary qualifications, or substantial relevant skills and work experience. You will be highly motivated and looking for an opportunity to work in a dynamic team on a wide range of topics and tasks. You will also have well-developed computer literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office in particular.
