The Opportunity

The School of Social Sciences is seeking to appoint a dynamic Lecturer or Senior Lecturer to contribute to the Department of Politics and International Relations teaching and research program. The school is home to a strong cohort of experienced social scientists with extensive government and industry partnerships and international networks, a large community of local and international postgraduate students, and major research grants.

You will have an established reputation for research excellence in the field of International Relations, with sub-field open. You will be an excellent and inspiring teacher and will contribute to the ongoing development and delivery of the program's undergraduate International Relations major as well as the department’s postgraduate coursework offerings. The selected candidate will teach an undergraduate unit on international relations theory and an MA capstone unit on international relations policy issues.  Supervision of postgraduate research in this program, as well as in Higher Degree Research Programs (MA and PhD), will also be expected.
