The Opportunity

The Monash Business School undertakes education, research, consultancy and community engagements across all the main business and economics disciplines.  It offers a comprehensive selection of awards including bachelor degrees, specialist master degrees by coursework, the Master of Business Administration (MBA), masters by research, and PhD. Student numbers exceed 14,000, making it one of the largest business education providers in Australia.

As Director of Entrepreneurship you will be expected to provide strategic leadership to the Monash Business School and coordinate initiatives related to entrepreneurship, innovation and commercialisation. The appointee will be a member of the faculty executive and will be expected to contribute to the development of the faculty strategic plan.

Your duties will include:

  • playing a crucial role in leading the school’s undergraduate, postgraduate and executive level teaching and educational programs in entrepreneurship, innovation and commercialisation
  • coordinating the school’s activities in the entrepreneurship area including interactions with other entrepreneurship activities across Monash University
  • sourcing and implementing entrepreneurship projects
  • inspiring staff with a strong vision for entrepreneurship education, engagement and research.

As an Associate Professor/Professor the successful candidate will be expected to provide leadership and foster excellent in research, teaching, professional activities and policy development within the Monash Business School.

You will be expected to develop and implement strategies to strengthen links with industry, build research capacity, develop innovative educational programs and advance the discipline of entrepreneurship within the national and international community.
