An exciting opportunity is presented to work within the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network as a Occupational Therapist within the Northern Community Mental Health. In this role you will have a fantastic opportunity to provide care coordination within a multidisciplinary team for young people and adults who experience serious and persistent mental illness. You will work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team and liaise directly with medical, nursing staff of NALHN and with other community agencies. You will also have the opportunity to work with other Occupational Therapists in the team to  explore and master discipline specific assessments and interventions including sensory approaches and rehabilitation strategies within a community setting. You will have access to regular structured supervision and opportunity to participate in regular in-services, including discipline specific professional development.  Supervisory skills will be developed through skill building opportunities and supervision of AHP1 Occupational Therapist. The Occupational Therapist (AHP2) is operationally accountable to the Team Manager and Professionally accountable to the Principal Occupational Therapist for the provision of assessment and treatment services for clients of NALHN Northern Community Mental Health Services, which aims to optimise health outcomes. You may also be requested to rotate through a series of clinical services. . To be eligible for this position, you must have an Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
