About the role
In this role you will provide effective leadership and contribute towards the enhancement of the department’s reputation through the development, teaching and coordination of subjects and courses that engage and motivate students.
You will be recognised for your proven track record in research leadership, deep and extensive knowledge of contemporary issues and practices in journalism (including current trends in the production and distribution of news content), and a proven ability to teach into and develop multiple subjects in the journalism curriculum at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Skills & Experience
To be considered for this role you will have completed a PhD in a relevant discipline area. You will demonstrate effectiveness and leadership in curriculum development and teaching with a proven commitment to excellence in teaching and a record of attracting research students. A demonstrated track record in undertaking high quality, impactful research in a relevant field is essential and you will have strong evidence of quality publications. Strong organisational and communication skills are essential as is the ability to work collaboratively with staff and students.
