Role Summary

We are looking for a dynamic and astute Corporate Lawyer to assist in ensuring we provide appropriate legal and strategic risk management advice in relation to human resources, employee relations and industrial relations matters across our business.

How you will contribute

As part of the Legal & Regulatory team you will:

  • Provide high quality and timely independent legal advice, across employment contracts, policies and industrial instruments, performance management, redundancy, conflict resolution and other related matters
  • Provide advice to the People, Culture & Communication team in negotiating with staff and unions on a range of issues, as well as assessing risks associated with any matters
  • Draft, manage and maintain employment-related documents and review new and proposed legislation
  • Provide advice in relation to merger/acquisitions and related change projects
  • Represent the company at the Fair Work Commission and any other relevant tribunals/courts, on ER/IR matters

Our Ideal Person

We are looking for someone with excellent technical legal knowledge and experience in employment and IR law, (ideally in-house), with the ability to provide advice in a clear, concise and easy to understand manner.

With outstanding influencing, negotiation, consulting skills, alongside strong business acumen and commercial nous, you will be a team player, self-starter and will be outcome driven in your approach.
