Role Summary

As a Senior Developer you will work within the Wagering Technology team to create, enhance and maintain wagering systems (and associated documentation) in order to deliver agreed business functional and non-functional requirements.

 

You will mentor junior developers and provide advice and technical guidance to developers within the larger team.

 

Our Ideal Person

A Senior Developer is expected to possess the following skills and competencies:

 

- 5 years+ experience developing software applications, with object oriented coding experience essential

- Demonstrable experience with C# (.NET), Microsoft MVC, Web Services, MS SQL, IIS and GIT

- Demonstrable experience in the design of secure, high performing available applications

- Experience in complex computer systems specification and development, such as real time transaction processing systems.

- Experience with Agile development process

- Planning skills (to identify and evaluate technical and business needs and opportunities).

- Ability to follow set plans and work to a schedule.

- Good communication skills both written and verbal.

- Sound general judgement and action orientation, good problem solving skills in a complex IT environment

- Good general understanding of the IT industry, technology and key IT processes including software development lifecycle, problem, change and configuration management practices

- Demonstrated ability to build trust and be a strong team player

- Ability to build effective professional relationships with business team leaders, and team members.

- Highly developed problem solving skills.
