Role Summary

We are looking for a self-motivated team player to join our Payroll team in this newly created role that has come about as a result of growth within our business.  The role will report through to our Payroll Manager and will provide accurate, timely and efficient payroll services to our business.

How you will contribute

In this role you will be responsible for – 

  • Ensuring the operational aspects of payroll processing and associated activities, including salary disbursement, overpayment recovery, leave management and reporting
  • Preparing complex payroll and human resource information for data input and will assist with checking, quality control and maintenance of records
  • Assisting with the coordination to ensure we meet our taxation, superannuation and other legislative and statutory obligations, through processing and preparing of returns and reports
  • Answering payroll related queries and assisting with identifying any payroll anomalies

Our Ideal Person

We are ideally looking for someone who has “hands on” experience working with a large corporate payroll, (more than 1,000 employees), in both a salaried and award environment, and who has an understanding of laws and legislation as they relate to the organisation, financial and statutory requirements. Experience with an ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP would be advantageous.

With experience in a Senior/Team Leader role, (or you may be looking to step up into a more senior position), you will have strong communication skills, excellent numerical skills and attention to detail, you will be discrete, self-driven and have an outcome focused approach.
