Role Snapshot/Role Summary

The Data Analyst is responsible for adding value to the Astute BI product by working closely with Data Operations team to support key data management, administration, and reporting tasks.

The Data Analyst should demonstrate a strong ability to produce tailored business insights from analysis. These skills should be applied to achieve reporting and troubleshooting outcomes for partners and customers of the business. The Data Analyst will engage directly with external stakeholders and customers as required to accomplish this.


How you will contribute

  • Support the data publish process, including data management, process management, customer follow-up, data mapping and data checks.
  • Support maintenance of data integrity within the database system and correct errors if required.
  • Compile and send key reports to customers including board reports, executive summaries, and gaming snapshots.
  • Respond to customer support queries.
  • Troubleshoot and assist with any errors and issues found in Astute BI reports.
  • Partner with clients, management team and business wide to design and develop reports accepted and found useful by the industry.
  • Assist and train end-users to use and maximise the value of their data available through OLAP Cubes in Microsoft Excel.
  • Develop and design new reports using Microsoft Excel.
  • Using advanced techniques to troubleshoot and solve problems.


Our Ideal Person

  • Accredited tertiary qualifications in a business or I.T. discipline
  • Experience with generating insights from data analysis for businesses
  • Experience in medium to large organisation which deals with complex technical environments
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and complex problem-solving skills.
  • Strong customer focus with a realistic viewpoint on timeframes and limitations of environment, and an ability to establish excellent working relationships with customer facing management, vendors and colleagues
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Strong bias for action, and a proven ability to develop and implement solutions to meet business requirements.
