Role Summary

As the Practice Delivery Lead, you will act as a Subject Matter Expert, Practice and Delivery Specialist for teams across all projects within Employee UX, Customer & Data Business Unit.  You will interface between the operational teams and the business units, taking into consideration stakeholders, end users, UX/UI, developers and testers to propose feasible solutions and drive consistency across the Technology business. You will mentor Project Managers and Technical Business Analysts and own process governance for business analysis and project delivery.

How you will contribute

  • Gain a complete understanding of the business needs and strategies. Effectively and concisely document requirements to the level of technical detail required by developers and testers
  • Govern to best practice and ensure repeatable and ongoing success through use of agreed methodologies, including Agile project management, development and quality assurance practices
  • Conduct business case development and release planning and coordination
  • Liaise closely with internal customer representatives to provide advice on all aspects of Information Technology that have the potential to impact the business.
  • Propose effective approaches to business and technical requirements.  Engage at a strategic level to understand delivery challenges and roadmaps, and own Business Analysis and Project Management for Employee UX, Customer & Data. 
  • Support an environment where agility and continuous improvement is built into work practices.  Lead the design and delivery of specific solutions through proactive consulting and advice to business units.
  • Ensure your team is accountable for achieving operational excellence within your service area. Work closely with the Architects and Employee UX, Customer & Data Leadership team to identify and determine future requirements/direction for the teams.
  • Gather quality governance metrics to measure and establish quality benchmarks across delivery channels. 
  • Work with the leadership team, architecture, development and infrastructure teams to effectively deliver the program of work. 
  • Build strong business relationships based on trust and delivery. Maintain and foster relationships with all Employee UX, Customer & Data stakeholders, including those throughout the business unit, across the organisation, and external suppliers and customers

Our Ideal Person

  • 7+ years’ work experience within a large commercial environment, evaluating and documenting business and software requirements to a high level of technical detail
  • Expert knowledge of all aspects of system implementation, covering both in-house development and customised package solutions
  • Extensive understanding of the IT&T industry, as well as technology trends and related practices. Demonstrated experience in agile ways of working and the ability to drive adoption within a team. Proven experience in developing and maintaining strong relationships across business and technology teams
  • Solid understanding of relevant legislation and associated regulations.
  • Detailed knowledge of gambling and entertainment industries (nice to have).
