Role Snapshot/Role Summary

Reporting to the User Experience Practice Lead, you will be responsible for creating digital experiences that delight Lotteries and Keno customers. Lotteries customers include Tattslotto, OzLotto, Powerball and Set for Life. This is a challenging role with great development potential and will see you working with customers to design and test user experiences and then turn them into reality using your solid user experience skills.

The role will focus on

  • Leading research to ensure that customer sentiment is embedded in our digital products
  • Visually map end-to-end customer experiences and facilitate collaborative design workshops
  • Working with other experience design professionals to design and validate ideas with customers and other stakeholders, leading design review sessions
  • Providing leadership on lean user experience concepts including collaborative design and iterative feedback loops such as user testing
  • Being curious and constantly update your technical knowledge, driving lessons learned to other team members
  • Wireframing and detailed design for web, iOS and Android ensuring design conventions are followed
  • Using best practice around adaptive design to ensure the design can be changed easily
  • Creating lightweight prototypes to enable rapid user feedback cycles
  • Working closely with the Customer Experience, Technology and Business Teams

Our Ideal Person

You will have tertiary qualifications in Design, Psychology, UX and/or appropriate industry experience , ideally in a Lead role with deep knowledge of design patterns and best practices in user experience design with exposure to design tools such as Sketch, Invision, Axure, Morae, Flinto or similar. In addition, you’ll have an understanding of W3C standards, browser-specific bugs and variations, the limitations of HTML, DHTML, CSS, Java Script along with experience working on highly transactional and performant websites. You’ll be comfortable working in an agile environment and have experienced continuous delivery practices such as CI, automated testing and continuous deployment. The ability to develop and maintain strong relationships across the business is critical, as is your problem solving and attention to detail with a strong passion for the online digital media industry being highly regarded.
