Role Snapshot/Role Summary

In the role of a Practice Lead Quality Assurance, you will act as a Subject Matter Expert, Practice and Technical Specialist for teams across all projects within Gaming Services.  You will ensure Quality Assurance, best practices are followed, drive high standards for quality and performance, driving consistency across the Technology business. You will mentor Quality Assurance staff, governing to Quality Assurance best practice.

The role will focus on

  • Providing expert advice and consultancy on best practice Quality Assurance to software development, quality assurance, project and delivery teams
  • Generating and developing innovative Quality Assurance standards and processes to improve quality across the technology business and drive consistence across delivery
  • Coaching and mentoring Quality Assurance resources across the department
  • Influencing and operating as a genuine trusted advisor throughout technology (and the broader Group)
  • Ensuring the Quality Assurance staff are doing the right work, at the right time, in the right way
  • Building strong business relationships based on trust and delivery. Maintain and foster relationships with all Gaming Services stakeholders, including those throughout the business unit, across the organisation, and external suppliers and customers
  • Meeting regularly with your customers, understand their business strategy and needs - build a great relationship based on trust and meeting promises. Share roadmaps and technology risks so that they can understand business impact
  • Mentoring, supporting and working with the Quality Assurance staff to identify and provide opportunities to extend their capabilities

Our Ideal Person

You will have accredited tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, combined with 7+ years’ work experience within a large commercial IT environment. Extensive experience in Quality Assurance and or a testing role will be highly regarded as will proven experience in developing and maintaining strong relationships across business and technology teams.  In addition, you will have demonstratable experience in agile ways of working and the ability to drive adoption within a team.
