Role Snapshot/Role Summary

Working as part of the Gaming Solutions team, your role will develop and deliver high quality software products and services to customers, instilling a customer first culture in the organisation and drive consistency across the Technology business. You will champion agile ways of working and drive continuous improvement into work practices. 

The role will focus on

  • Building and delivering software solutions using contemporary approaches whilst maintaining awareness of releases and enhancement requirements and the impact these have on system maintenance.
  • Participating in workshops, stand ups, product demonstrations and retrospectives working within an agile environment.
  • Resolving and troubleshooting technical incidents and requests assigned to the Software Installations queue and ensure all are actioned within the SLAs and are documented correctly within the system.
  • Identifying and evaluating industry innovations, trends and offerings, act as an SME and be at the forefront of software development practices.
  • Be a genuine, trusted advisor throughout technology and the broader group allowing you to influence, mentor, support, train and educate peers to promote DevOps methods and enhance the organisation’s capabilities.
  • Leading the design and delivery of specific solutions through proactive consulting and advice to business units and actively support and champion Technology improvement and innovation agendas while supporting a culture of customer first

Our Ideal Person

You will have tertiary qualifications in Technology (or equivalent) along with commercial experience in software engineering, expert knowledge of the full SDLC and methods such as Agile, Continuous Delivery and Continuous Integration. In addition, you will be confident using Windows desktop operating systems, network infrastructure and concepts and administering SQL server.

You are curious by nature with a proactive approach to problem solving and decision making and are comfortable developing and maintaining strong relationships within Technology teams, the broader business and externally. Although not essential, a solid understanding of relevant legislation and associated regulations as well as knowledge of gambling/entertainment industries will be highly regarded.
