Role Snapshot/Role Summary

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Gaming Services Technology, your role will act as the key interface between the development teams and the business units across Technology. You will work with stakeholders, end users, developers and testers to propose feasible solutions to effectively meet business requirements.

The role will focus on

  • Obtaining a comprehensive understanding of business needs and strategies in order to propose effective approaches to business and technical requirements.
  • Liaise closely with the business, development and test teams to provide advice on all aspects of Information Technology that have the potential to impact the business thus enhancing the organisation’s capabilities.
  • Conduct business case development and release planning and co-ordination.
  • Ensure repeatable success through use of agreed methodologies, including Agile project management, development and test practices.
  • Be a genuine, trusted advisor throughout technology and the broader group supporting an environment where agility and continuous improvement is built into work practices
  • Actively support and champion Technology improvement and innovation agendas leading the design and delivery of specific solutions through proactive consulting and advice to business units

Our Ideal Person

You will have tertiary qualifications in Technology (or equivalent) along with extensive experience evaluating and documenting business and software requirements to a high level of technical detail. In addition you will have expert knowledge of all aspects of system implementation, both in-house and customised package solutions and demonstrated experience in agile ways of working and a proven ability to drive adoption within a team. You’ll be comfortable influencing others and be confident in making decisions, ensuring a results driven, proactive approach to problem solving. The ability to develop and maintain strong relationships within Technology teams, the broader business and externally will also cement your success in this role. Although not essential, a solid understanding of relevant legislation and associated regulations as well as knowledge of gambling/entertainment industries will be highly regarded.
