Role Snapshot/Role Summary

Reporting to the Head of Technology as the Manager - Asset & Configuration, you will manage the activities of planning, identifying, controlling, status accounting, and conduct an audit of IT Assets and Configuration items.  As a Manager, you will also lead the strategy and continuous improvement Asset and Configuration management to ensure a true best in class service from a people, process and technology perspective.

The role will focus on

  • Identifying and implementing world leading Asset & Configuration methodologies, processes and Technology platforms, then drive these for adoption across the Technology business unit and Service Delivery
  • Developing and maintaining the Configuration and Asset Management Policies, standards, plans and procedures in consultation with stakeholders
  • Working alongside the Head of Service Delivery to establish budgets, methodologies, processes and technology platforms to utilise across the Technology business unit and Service Delivery
  • Owning, developing, communicating and managing a detailed plan for delivering these initiatives. Present them to an array of stakeholders
  • Managing the auto discovery process to audit changes in the environment and to ensure integrity of the CMDB
  • Developing clear, streamlined and informative communications to senior business, industry and regulatory bodies
  • Promoting and enabling an environment of positivity, self-empowerment/improvement and development. Inspire your team and provide opportunities to extend the capabilities of your people

Our Ideal Person

You will have accredited tertiary qualifications in the relevant field, 10+ years’ experience in an IT role and a minimum of 5+ years’ experience in configuration and asset management functions. and demonstrated experience in a service management role.

In addition, you will have Demonstrated experienc in a service management role and have experience in people management, experience performing audits on teams, identifying improvement opportunities and driving improvements to completion.
