How you will contribute

Working as a Senior Software Engineer in our Gaming Technology team, you will develop and deliver high quality software products and services to customers, instilling a customer first culture in the organisation and drive consistency across the Technology business.  You will help shape the design and development of solutions whilst also supporting existing business intelligence solutions.  You will provide technical leadership and mentoring, be a strong advocate for modern ways of working and help build on our culture and lead by example.

  • Building and delivering software products and services using Agile and CI/CD practices
  • Actively supporting and championing technology improvement and innovation
  • Participating in workshops, stand ups, product demonstrations and retrospectives working within an agile environment
  • Resolving and troubleshooting technical incidents and requests assigned to the Software Installations queue and ensure all are actioned within the SLAs and are documented correctly within the system
  • Identifying and evaluating industry innovations, trends and offerings, act as an SME and be at the forefront of software development practices
  • Be a genuine, trusted advisor throughout technology and the broader group allowing you to influence, mentor, support, train and educate peers to promote DevOps methods and enhance the organisation’s capabilities
  • Leading the design and delivery of specific solutions through proactive consulting and advice to business units and actively support and champion Technology improvement and innovation agendas while supporting a culture of customer first

Our Ideal Person

You will have tertiary qualifications in Technology (or equivalent) along with enterprise experience in business intelligence, expert knowledge of the full SDLC and Agile methodology.

  • Strong experience developing in C# .NET MVC and Web Forms development
  • Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server
  • Strong experience with Angular 3+, Redux, Typescript, HTML5 and CSS
  • Strong experience with CI/CD
  • Experience with developing APIs and Microservices
  • Proven experience with Test-Driven Development
  • Productive using Microsoft Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code
  • Sound knowledge of AWS – previous experience with migrating systems to AWS would be beneficial
  • Preferably have experience with Xamarin, Selenium, Jasmine & Karma, Swagger, Protractor, Yarn, NPM, NodeJS and IIS
