About the role

We’re hiring a Senior Visual Designer with exceptional UI design skills to join our Digital Technology team. As a Senior Designer you will be responsible for crafting end-to-end experiences that delight our customers while uplifting the UI capabilities within the team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with other designers to create and implement a cohesive visual language across channels
  • Create visual UI systems down to icon systems, motion graphics, style guides & specs for consistent experience
  • Work closely with delivery teams to ensure UI is implemented according to the experience vision
  • Create proof of concepts and prototypes for new initiatives and craft detailed designs for delivery across various devices
  • Lead design review sessions and participate in research to understand customers’ needs and visually map end-to-end experiences
  • Prepare design concepts and prototype them with other designers, customers, developers and stakeholders
  • Collaboratively facilitate design workshops, ensure that design conventions are followed
  • Provide leadership on lean user experience within an agile environment
  • Use best practice around adaptive design to ensure the design can be changed easily


Our ideal person


You will have accredited tertiary qualifications in Design with extensive experience in human centred design, service design and design thinking methodologies. In addition, you’ll have strong knowledge of design software such as Sketch, Invision, Adobe, Axure and Zepplin. You’ll also have a strong understanding of W3C standards and browser-specific variations with experience working on highly transactional and performant websites. You’ll be naturally curious and have experience working in agile environments with deep knowledge of design patterns and best practices in user experience design. Although not essential, previous experience building design systems will be highly regarded.  You’ll also be a natural collaborator and have excellent stakeholder relationship and communication skills.
