About the role

We’re hiring a senior experience designer to join our Digital Technology team and work across all digital touch points crafting end-to-end experiences that delight our customers digitally and at retail venues. You will also play a key role in the continuous improvement of our leading design capabilities within the team.

In this challenging role as the first member of the newly formed Melbourne team, you’ll work closely with Sydney and Brisbane hubs to build scalable UX capability. You will be working with customers to design and test user experiences and then turn them into reality.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conduct research to understand customers’ needs and visually map end-to-end experiences
  • Show strong UX expertise while working with partner design agencies and design experiences while keeping customers, business and technology in view.
  • Facilitate collaborative design workshops to bring agreement among stakeholders
  • Ensure that design conventions are followed
  • Provide leadership on lean user experience within an agile environment
  • Use best practice around adaptive design to ensure the design can be changed easily
  • Lead design review sessions

Our ideal person

You will have accredited tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (Design/Psychology/UX) with extensive experience in a similar role and working knowledge of experience design tools such as Axure, Sketch, Morae, Flinto Principle, or similar. You’ll also have a strong understanding of W3C standards and browser-specific variations with experience working on highly transactional and performance websites. You’ll be naturally curious and have experience working in agile environments with deep knowledge of design patterns and best practices in user experience design. Although not essential, previous experience building design systems will be highly regarded.  You’ll also be a natural collaborator and have excellent stakeholder relationship and communication skills.

When you join our team, you’ll be able to take advantage of a range of benefits including flexible working arrangements, leadership and development programs and community programs.

Tabcorp is committed to creating an inclusive workplace where all our people feel valued for their unique qualities and have a sense of belonging. If you need assistance or adjustments to fully participate in the application process, please contact
