How you will contribute

The Employee Experience team is looking for a determined, highly skilled and talented individual to join our multitalented team in our Melbourne or Brisbane office. The successful candidate will ideally have experience in working with like-minded people who are wanting to go the extra mile in delivering exceptional systems ensuring our ‘Customer First’ culture is rich and strong.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead, manage and mentor team members
  • Understanding business requirements and translating these into functional requirements and application changes
  • Ensuring that the development teams deliver on these by validating as part of testing
  • Taking accountability for individual analysis work streams and leading junior BA's
  • Transforming high-level business goals into low-level requirements to define the scope of a project
  • Gathering, verifying, analysing and documenting of business requirements
  • Being responsible for data and systems analysis to support documentation and understanding of the as-is and to-be state
  • Gaining client and IT sign-off of requirements documents and specifications by conducting walkthroughs, presentations and formal reviews
  • Working closely with the development teams to develop functional specifications and technical designs
  • Planning, scripting, managing and executing acceptance testing - User Acceptance Testing (UAT), with the client performing the execution and acceptance testing prior to UAT start.
  • Planning and executing user training on new systems
  • Build and manage excellent stakeholder relationships providing advice on all aspects of Information Technology that have the potential to impact the business, acting as a trusted advisor

Our ideal person

You will have accredited tertiary qualifications in a relevant field with extensive experience working with relevant technologies including:

  • Experience working as a BA in the technology sector.
  • An in-depth understanding of business analysis (including knowledge of at least one requirements management/modelling tool), and with the ability to select the right tools/methodologies for a given task
  • Extensive experience in business process mapping and on-boarding workflows.
  • Understanding the workings of highly compliance environments
  • Experience of writing test plans, scripts, and cases
  • A good understanding of the technology project lifecycle of both Waterfall and Agile methodologies
  • The ability to work effectively with all levels of clients and IT stakeholders, up to and including C Level.
  • Excellent communications skills - both written and verbal, with technical and non-technical audiences, over multiple locations
  • Systems and data analysis skills, including SQL, ServiceNow, Oracle and desktop data analysis tools. Data modelling/warehousing experience would be an advantage
