The Information Security and Technology Governance (ISTG) team is accountable for protecting the information of Tabcorp and its customers through comprehensive risk management, strong technical controls, and diligence to processes and regulations.

How you will contribute

As a Technology and Security Risk Analyst, you will work closely with TabTech team members to assist with the identification and analysis of technology and security risks and their associated mitigating controls. You will leverage your expertise with technology and security risk management and contribute significantly to the continuous improvement of the TabTech Risk Management Framework and its supporting processes and guidelines, helping to maintain technology and security risk registers and monitor mitigation plans and actions to ensure timely and effective delivery.

Key responsibilities:

  • Build strong stakeholder relationships across the business across all aspects of technology and security risk management to support the identification of security risks and mitigating controls
  • Ensure all identified technology and security risks have a corresponding Risk Owner and that all security controls have a corresponding Control Owner
  • Develop strategies and plans to measure and monitor the effectiveness of technology and security controls
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives including performance analysis in regards to the identification of current technology risks
  • Work closely with Technology Strategy and Improvement teams to embed a risk aware, compliant culture and support the facilitation of technology risk workshops
  • Ensure all technology and security risks are recorded using the required enterprise risk management tools

Our ideal person

You’ll have accredited tertiary qualifications in a relevant field with extensive experience with wide and narrow scope risk assessments including familiarity with published technology risk standards including AS/NZS 27005, ISO31000 and NIST 800-30. You’ll have a deep knowledge of technology and security control frameworks and standards such as Cobit 5, ISO27001 and NISY 800-53. In addition, you’ll have a thorough understanding of measuring effectiveness of technology and security controls and have previously developed and implemented risk mitigation plans. You’ll be highly analytical, be comfortable developing strong relationships at all levels and have exceptional written and communication skills. Although not essential, experience working in the entertainment or gambling industries along with an understanding of associated regulations will be highly regarded.
