Role Summary

Tabcorp Technology is building a world class, cutting edge Monitoring and Alerting (M&A) platform. As such we are looking for a Technical Engineer with a focus in the M&A space to join our new M&A team, forming part of the broader Service Delivery team.

Your role will be accountable for ensuring M&A across the Technology Business unit is 24x7, real time and integrated across all Infrastructure and Applications. You will seamlessly combine technology platforms with People and Process to deliver a holistic, M&A solution.

You will be part of a technical and BA team that will provide the ‘build’ and ‘run’ elements of M&A by seeking out stakeholder requirements, building use cases, implementing the right solutions for stakeholder needs and providing technical support and guidance.

The successful applicant will be joining at a very exciting time, with the organisation having completed a transformational merger and reviewing their current monitoring and alerting tools.

How You Will Contribute

  • Drive the integration of M&A tools covering infrastructure and applications across all brands and sales channels
  • Ensure early incident awareness and prevention for technical support teams/management
  • Drive and create a positive, customer focused and proactive team
  • Work closely with Technology teams (Solution Architects, Project Managers, Security and Level 1, 2 and 3 Support) to understand requirements and determine the right M&A solution
  • Drive processes across Technology departments to enable real time M&A, thus preventing or mitigating incidents
  • Lead ongoing improvements and evolutions to M&A platforms, processes and methodologies, delivering tangible and measurable outputs

Our Ideal Person

  • 5+ years of extensive hands-on experience with various M&A tools, such as, Splunk, New Relic, Solar Windows, OpsGenie, App Dynamics etc…
  • Solid experience of SDLC to develop, test and implement solutions to meet business requirements
  • Knowledgeable in Python, HTML, CSS, Java, JavaScript
  • Administration skills in Linux and Windows Operating System
  • Experience in ITIL, Agile and general IT Operations with an infrastructure support background
  • 5+ years’ in system and application development using varying SaaS and on-premise technology
  • Experience gathering/documenting requirements to design and implementing customer solutions
