What will you be doing

You will act as an influential and trusted partner with senior stakeholders in shaping the culture and environment for their teams as well as developing and aligning the people plan across key functions. You will be an advocate for quality talent management, and a personal champion for building broader diversity throughout Whitbread. This will include working with Resourcing and other HR partners to attract, hire and retain a diverse workforce capable of providing strong functional expertise, creativity and leadership to each function. You will also conduct calibration and succession planning to ensure there is proactive pipeline development, succession and talent planning across short, medium and long term horizons. 

As a HRBP you will take a data led approach to HR interventions, looking for qualitative and quantitative feedback from employees and managers –have a 'finger on the pulse’ and make recommendations on significant issues to HR leaders. This will include considering the bigger picture at all times, observing connections, and draw conclusions about the impact of events and activities on the business. We are looking for someone to apply external insights to inform best practices, and build HR capability for self and others. 

What we are looking for

  • Extensive experience of working closely with senior leadership teams and driving effective performance
  • Experience of providing advice to senior managers on Employment Relations issues
  • Strong generalist HR background
  • Prior experience in implementing HR policies
  • Strong personal values and high levels of integrity
  • Experience dealing with change initiatives
  • Can act as provocateur, confidently challenging senior managers based on their own point of view.
  • Committed to ongoing personal development
  • Effective presentation and facilitation skills
