You will be part of the team established to strengthen and deepen local railway engineering, operations and maintenance competencies for the rail sector.

You will play a key role in the design of curriculum, development of instructional content and delivery of customized learning programmes, to uplift the capabilities of the railway workforce, in support of the Skills Framework for Public Transport.

Depending on your experience, you may have opportunities to carry out business development and provide international consultancy services to clients.

Key responsibilities

• Work with operators, suppliers, contractors, user divisions, industry partners, etc. to develop content for technical training for re-skilling and up-skilling workforce
• Keep abreast of railway engineering standards and technologies, including operations & maintenance requirements
• Foster and maintain good relationships with relevant Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) from the rail industry (both locally and globally), including sourcing for railway experts to deliver talks, seminars and training programmes
• Enhance pedagogy and delivery through the use of technology in learning, for example Virtual and Augmented Reality, e-Learning, game based learning
• Provide business development and consultancy services as and when needed

Requirements

• Tertiary qualification preferably in engineering with at least 10 years of working experience in railway engineering, operations and maintenance
• Candidate should also demonstrate anchored knowledge and experience in one or more railway domains such as Signalling & Communications, Rolling Stock, and Power Supply etc. Knowledge in Systems Engineering and Asset Management would be an  advantage
• Well-grounded in the theory and practice of Training & Development, such as familiarity with WSQ, implementing competency frameworks (engineering competencies), instructional design, evaluation and assessment 
• ACTA certification, experience working in a Training & Development environment will have advantage
• Able to customize and deliver training to various levels of participants
• Able to develop and deliver business proposals
• Excellent analytical and communication skills, ability to develop new plans and initiatives, including the use of technology in learning
