About Contact Singapore Division

Contact Singapore is a division in the Singapore Economic Development Board that engages entrepreneurs and business owners who are interested in relocating to and investing in Singapore.

Whether creating new businesses or expanding businesses in Singapore, we connect entrepreneurs and business owners with relevant partners to facilitate their decisions in establishing business activities in Singapore.

As a Head, you will oversee a team of 3-4 Leads/ Senior Leads to drive Contact Singapore’s interest in China. Your primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop Contact Singapore’s overall market expansion strategy for China
  • Develop and implement effective lead generation, and client engagement plans both in Singapore and in China
  • Collaborate with EDB’s Asia-Pacific Operations to identify, generate and nurture quality prospects in China
  • Partner with internal & external stakeholders to develop programmes and platforms to engage clients.
  • Assess suitability of Global Investor Programme applicants
  • Oversee the running of selected internal processes in Contact Singapore

The role is Singapore-based though some in-market travel is required.

To meet the challenges of this role, you must have/be:

  • At least 6 years of relevant work experience, with strong interest or prior exposure in the Chinese market, be it in business development, market analysis and strategy
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship abilities, intercultural knowledge and communication skills
  • Familiarity of key corporations and political trends in China and the Asia Pacific region
  • Capability and drive to shape cohesive strategies, take strong ownership and deliver results under a constantly evolving environment
  • Good analytical and lateral thinking abilities
  • Fluent in business mandarin
  • Singaporean
