The Customer Experience (“CX”) team is part of the Customer Experience & Marketing and Investment Facilitation (“CMIF”) group of EDB and is tasked with providing research and design support for the organisation. The team’s goal is to create better experiences for our internal officers and customers across all our products and services.






The CX team is looking to hire a Design Coach to achieve the following objectives:

  • Support the diagnosis of EDB’s overall design maturity at both organisation-wide and team levels
  • Establish a suitable maturity model framework to measure and improve overall design maturity for EDB at both organisation-wide and team levels
  • Recommend approaches to projects and delivery that enable effective competency building and organisation influence
  • Introduce research and design ops concepts
  • Provide training and coaching to individual teams at both individual work stream level and individual competency development level



The officer will need to work across various internal stakeholders to assess how current workstreams are being executed. Post assessment, the officer would then need to introduce proven design and research ops concepts to improve the overall effectiveness across workstreams. This will need to be done through consultations with senior management to assist the team in scoping wider organisation adoption of design that is ultimately applicable to EDB’s business context.






To meet the challenges of this role, you must have/be:

  • Relevant qualifications in Design/Industrial Design/ Psychology/ Communications or Human Computer Interaction
  • At least 10-15 years in relevant Design or Design Research management roles in a consultancy or similar fields
  • In-depth experience with application of Design Research principles and methodologies across broad categories of business problems
  • Expertise in design thinking and human-centered design
  • In-depth knowledge across several service design disciplines such as Systems Design, Spatial Design, Interaction Design or Communication Design
  • Strong ability to effectively manage stakeholders and their varying expectations
  • Strong ability to quickly synthesise insights based on common themes or patterns in customer behaviours
  • Excellent facilitation skills with prior experience in user interviews, conceptualization, ideation, and iterative prototyping
  • Track record of implementing and/or advising on organization wide adoption of design
  • In-depth knowledge of design and research ops principles, ideally with end-to-end implementation experience
  • Singaporean
