Responsibilities

You will be part of a team in the Ministry that ensures that regulatory policies are pro-enterprise so that businesses can be competitive and grow through innovation, productivity and internationalisation.

As the Pro-Enterprise Panel (PEP) Secretariat, you will be the advocate for businesses within government to ensure that our regulatory environment facilitates and supports businesses so that they not only spend less resources (time, effort and money) in meeting regulatory requirements but can be competitive and grow.

Your work will include among others: (i) gathering feedback on business pain-points/concerns on government regulations and work with agencies to address these (e.g. conduct deep dive analysis to take a closer look at pain points and their root causes); (ii) facilitate new business models/innovative ideas through the First Mover Framework; (iii) raise awareness of government's pro-enterprise efforts among the business community; (iv) undertake benchmarking of pro-enterprise performance (i.e. Pro-Enterprise Ranking Survey) and monitor Singapore's performance vis-à-vis other economies based on World Bank's annual Doing Business Survey; and (v) support the PEP.

 

Requirements 

University degree

At least 2 years of relevant working experience, preferably with experience/knowledge about regulatory policy development/operationalisation, and possess keen interest in economic or business issues.

Good writing and analytical skills, with the ability to think "out of the box".

Good interpersonal skills, basic project management skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
