Manager (Strategic Accounts & Partnerships) (2-year contract)

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the initiatives to build and develop a strong cohort of globally competitive, high growth Singapore tech enterprises, as well as establish strategic partnerships with key tech MNC players to play a larger role in growing the local tech ecosystem and capabilities, thereby increasing value capture, anchoring growth and good jobs for the ICT sector and Singapore’s economy. The scope of work includes:

Responsibilities

  • Formulate strategic engagement projects and initiatives between MNCs/large local enterprises and IMDA internal stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes
  • Engage and develop growth plans with large local enterprises, such as strategies for business expansion, capabilities development, mergers & acquisitions, new market penetration, etc.
  • Engage, build and deepen strategic collaborative relationships with key tech MNCs
  • Architect and structure collaborative partnerships between LLEs and other tech partners for business opportunities
  • Manage stakeholder engagements to achieve critical buy-in and support to strategic initiatives
  • Manage the administration of the programmes/projects and organise/coordinate related activities
  • Develop funding proposals, evaluation and obtaining management approval to fund strategic projects

 

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering/Computer Engineering/Science or equivalent, with prior experience in project management, business development and/or marketing. Strong electives the art of strategic selling would be an advantage
  • 5 to 8 years of relevant working experience preferably in the IT industry of which 3 years are in business development or strategic sales
  • Good working knowledge of IT technologies, IT product development, value-chain components and market trends is essential
  • Good understanding of local IT industry and local business environment
  • Organizational and situational awareness is critical
  • Proactive self-starter with an analytical and creative mind, and a team player
  • Results and customer-oriented with multi-tasking capabilities
  • Able to effectively engage senior stakeholders and industry partner
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Passionate about helping local IT industry, especially local tech companies, to grow and expand

Position will commensurate with experience.
