Job Description

As a Statistician working on the Census of Population project, you will be responsible for planning and implementation of the Census 2020 which collects and disseminates latest information on the population and households, including to:

·         develop and test new systems to support the data collection and processing,

·         review survey approach, statistical processes and resource requirements for implementing the Census,

·         manage the data collection and processing processes during the conduct of Census, and

·         analyse the data to support policy making and provide data support to users of statistics.

 
Job Requirements

·         Possess knowledge or experience in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics or subjects with substantial quantitative content (e.g. regression, analytics, modelling, forecasting, Accountancy, Information Technology)

·         Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to learn and apply relevant statistical and analytical tools and techniques for data compilation and analysis

·         Good communication skills

·         Able to work well both independently and as a member of a team
