As a statutory board in the Ministry of Communications and Information, IMDA promotes and regulates the infocomm and media sectors.

Assistant Manager/Manager – Competition Management

Review and enforce the various competition, regulatory and licensing frameworks for the telecommunications and postal sectors, to ensure these frameworks support IMDA’s overall vision of Singapore being an infocomm hub.


  • Undertake reviews of regulatory and licensing frameworks, to ensure that they remain relevant and effective in promoting a competition and protecting consumer interests.
  • Undertake reviews of land/sea resource availability and potential challenges that licensees may encounter for their operations in Singapore, and develop and implement effective measures to assist licensees.
  • Liaise and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate deployment of licensees’ systems and services
  • Evaluate licence applications received, to ensure approved applicants would contribute to the provision of competitive telecom services in Singapore.
  • Initiate investigation or enforcement actions against licensees for potential contravention of regulatory and licensing frameworks.
  • Undertake regulatory audits to ensure licensees comply with IMDA’s licence fee frameworks.


  • A Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Accountancy, Business, Economics, Engineering or Law.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience and those with prior experience in the telecoms industry, and/or knowledge of competition and regulatory concepts and frameworks would be an advantage.
  • Good writing and communication skills
  • Ability to work and deliver under tight deadlines
  • Ability to work in a team as well as independently
  • Good stakeholder engagement skills
  • Good presentation and facilitation skills


Position will commensurate with experience.
