Responsibilities

EMA Management Retreat & other events

The intern will be attached to the Corporate Planning team and will assist in the organisation of the EMA’s annual Management Retreat and another event involving MTI family. As part of the attachment, the intern will gain a broad understanding of the energy sector and also on work areas of other statutory boards under MTI.

Energy scanning and research

The intern will be involved in literature review of energy trends and developments to identify emerging issues and provide support for drafting of reading materials and interim presentations/progress reports.

Regulatory proposals

The intern will assist in coordinating the process for evaluating proposals from industry related to regulatory sandboxing (experimental projects that will require some relaxation of rules).  The intern will gain insights into policy issues and project management skills.

 

Requirements
We are looking for an undergraduate with the following traits:

  • University student from Year 2 onwards;
  • Minimum commitment of 8 weeks with EMA (please indicate your availability in your application if you can commit to a longer duration);
  • Strong interest in energy issues;
  • Likes to read widely;
  • Resourceful;
  • Independent;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to multi-task.
