Responsibilities

The intern will be part of the Policy Branch team responsible for the development of energy policies and regulations relating to  solar, electricity futures, climate change, demand-side management, energy storage. The intern will be expected to:

  • Research on energy policies, practices or procedures adopted by overseas jurisdictions and other relevant sectors;
  • Contribute to discussions on assessing and reviewing the implications of relevant new developments on our energy policies;
  • Provide secretariat support in our engagement and meetings with stakeholders such as industry partners, government agencies;
  • Gain insights into our energy landscape, electricity market and policy issues.

 

Requirements
We are looking for an undergraduate with the following traits:

  • University student from Year 2 onwards;
  • Minimum commitment of 8 weeks with EMA (please indicate your availability in your application if you can commit to a longer duration);
  • Strong interest in energy issues;
  • Likes to read widely;
  • Resourceful;
  • Independent;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to multi-task.
