Established in 2001, the Health Promotion Board’s (HPB) vision is to build a nation of healthy people.

We aim to empower residents in Singapore to attain optimal health, increase the quality and years of healthy life, and prevent illnesses, disability and premature death.

To achieve this, HPB drives national health promotion and disease prevention programmes, spearheads health education initiatives and creates a supportive environment in Singapore where healthy lifestyle options are available and accessible for healthy living every day.

We are looking for dynamic professionals who are passionate about promoting healthy living among Singaporeans.


You will be part of the dedicated team to spearhead and implement health promotion programmes in the community.  You will have the opportunity to influence and build healthy communities by fostering closer relationships with key stakeholders (both community-based and healthcare partners), to create regional and community-driven solutions and ensure good uptake of health promotion programmes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Health Promotion Managers to develop a robust community engagement strategy to support the implementation and sustainability of the Healthy Community Ecosystems (HCE) across Singapore.

  • Lead the team in driving consumer demand and oversee scale-up of HPB’s key national programmes such as the Community Network for Seniors initiative.

  • Co-plan, co-create and co-implement health promotion strategies and activities with stakeholders and to empower partners to implement sustainable health promotion activities for residents.

  • Manage and develop resources, including improving operational efficiency, proper allocation of budget and manpower, and developing teams to maximise their talent and career development.

  • Strengthen relationships with key stakeholders and enable partners to implement and advance health promotion strategies and activities in the community.



  • A degree with at least 3-5 years working experience preferably in the area of public health, health management, health sciences, health promotion / education and/or community outreach/engagement (good community network).

  • Experience in leading teams and managing successful large projects will be considered advantages.

  • Experience in client account management and partnership management, with the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels.

  • Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment effectively and independently as well as in teams.

  • Good team spirit and strong customer relationship orientation.

  • Good inter-personal, persuasive writing and verbal communication skills, including strong  analytical skills to monitor community outreach efforts in a systematic manner.

  • Previous training/experience in marketing or communications will be useful.

  • Proactive, dynamic, resourceful, creative, collaborative, self-motivated, a strong desire to excel – and a good sense of humour!
