As a statutory board in the Ministry of Communications and Information, IMDA promotes and regulates the infocomm and media sectors.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Support in formulating strategic plans for the Open Innovation Platform (OIP) to ensure the programme meets its KPIs and having alignment with IMDA' digital economy objectives
  • Forge partnerships and collaborations with the local and global innovation communities
  • Manage OIP stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes using the OIP innovation process
  • Actively engage potential problem owners and solution providers to identify potential problem statements and tech solutions
  • Actively foster collaborations between solution providers to form strategic partnerships to develop innovative solutions to ensure high solve rates
  • Manage intellectual property matters and expectations of OIP participants
  • Develop commercialisation pathways to help commercialise successful prototypes
  • Co-develop innovation methodologies with vendors
  • Manage vendors to ensure knowledge transfer and meeting SLAs

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and qualities:

  • A technical or business tertiary degree with minimum 8 years of working experience in a technology focused organisation
  • Prior experience working in a corporate innovation outfit would be preferred
  • Prior experience in project management and business development would be advantageous
  • Having good appreciation of emerging ICT technology trends
  • A good team player who is proactive and a spontaneous thinker
  • Able to deliver with minimal supervision and guidance
  • Good writing and communication skills
  • Good PowerPoint and presentation skills would be preferable
