Analyst (Financial Information Department)

As a member of the Financial Information Department, you will play a key role in creating a productive financial reporting ecosystem in Singapore.

Key responsibilities

  • Formulate policies and work with stakeholders to drive integration of financial filing requirements into companies’ natural systems. This will include working with accounting software vendors and across agencies to facilitate seamless filing of financial data from accounting software to ACRA.
  • Monitor the global developments relating to the filing of financial statements and consider suitability for adoption in Singapore. This will include considering the latest technology/trend that could improve the productivity of the various key stakeholders in our financial reporting value chain, as well as driving changes in filing taxonomy taking into account changes in accounting standards and other regulations.
  • Continuously improve ACRA BizFinx system, to facilitate seamless preparation and accurate filing of financial data in XBRL format. This will include:  
    • balancing the needs of data consumers and the burden of preparers on data to be collected
    • initiating and driving system enhancements for smooth user experience
    • maintaining predictive data analytics to detect non-compliance
    • developing and taking enforcement action to deter inaccurate filing; and
    • analysing the root causes of non-compliances, with the aim to improve our system, process and stakeholders’ knowledge to prevent recurrence.
  • Administer the exemption for financial reporting requirements in Companies Act, balancing between the need to maintain transparency, and the constraints faced by the applicant.
  • Embrace design thinking, data analytics and leverage on digital technology to continually streamline our work processes and serve our customers better. Training will be provided.


  • Have the passion and drive to play a part in improving the financial reporting value chain in Singapore
  • Professional Qualification / Certification, preferably in disciplines such as Accountancy or IT
  • Strong interest in technologies and a firm believer in innovation
