As a statutory board in the Ministry of Communications and Information, IMDA promotes and regulates the infocomm and media sectors.

 

Responsibilities

 

We are looking for a visionary procurement team lead to drive the Procurement team to deliver desired values and benefits for the organisation.  You are a change agent to steer strategic transformation in Procurement, leverage on data analytics and harness new technologies to drive innovations, automations and service deliveries.  Your responsibilities would encompass the following:

 

  • Drive the development, implementation and improvements in procurement policies, processes and systems to ensure compliance and improve procurement efficiencies and deliveries
  • Lead automation projects such as Robotic Processing Automation to automate repetitive processes
  • Develop strong positive team culture and procurement officers’ capability in best sourcing strategies and stakeholders’ relationship
  • Develop and maintain an expert understanding of buys so as to strategise subsequent buys into opportunities for increasing values across the organisation
  • Stay abreast of economic, market, industry and organisation conditions, develop dashboard data and perform data analysis to identify trends and opportunities and recommend evident-based improvements and decisions such as demand aggregation
  • Develop and enhance systems or programmes to enable users to self-help and increase their procurement knowledge
  • Collaborate with audit to support audit reviews for improvements in policies, processes and systems 

 

Requirements

  • At least 10 years’ experience in government procurement of which at least 3 years are in supervisory position
  • Ability to multi-task and have demonstrated ability to work with all levels of management
  • Resourceful and able to adapt in a fast-changing environment
  • Innovative, meticulous, self-driven and people-oriented
  • Possess good communication, analytical, writing, problem solving and project/contract management skills
  • Possess hands-on knowledge of GeBIZ and SAP systems
  • Relevant experience in analytics or strategic reporting will be advantageous

 

 

Position will commensurate with experience.
