The Majlis Ugama Islam Singapura (Muis), also known as the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore, was established as a statutory body in 1968 when the Administration of Muslim Law Act (AMLA) came into effect. Under AMLA, Muis is to advise the President of Singapore on all matters relating to Islam in Singapore.

Muis is a statutory board under the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY). It seeks to develop a Muslim community with strong Islamic credentials that thrives in the contemporary world, and is an active partner in nation-building. At Muis, we strive to fulfil the values of compassion and inclusiveness. We design and deliver programmes which are targeted to create a community that is a blessing and inspirational to all.

Responsibilities:

You will support the planning and development of policies and programmes that improve staff relations, staff engagement and social responsibility. Areas of responsibilities include:

  • Assist in formulating policies and strategies to increase employee satisfaction level
  • Identify, develop and implement suitable programmes and activities that will drive and sustain employee communications and engagement and instil positive culture and organisational values
  • Facilitate staff engagement sessions
  • Review and implement Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives and rally staff to actively participate in such activities
  • Implement and oversee Employee Engagement Survey (EES) including monitoring follow-ups
  • Oversee staff involvement in Muis external events and activities including maintaining list of officers' involvement
  • Review and manage Human Resource microsite

Requirements:

  • Candidate should possess a tertiary education 
  • At least 2 years of relevant working experience
  • Energetic and self-motivated
  • Possess creativity and innovation in planning, implementing and evaluating programmes
  • Good communication and influencing skills, with a pleasant disposition and the ability to work and interact well with people at all level
