The job holder is responsible for devising and implementing strategies and programmes to detect, deter and prevent abuses and fraud across all categories of Work Passes to safeguard the integrity of the work pass framework.           

 

Responsibilities

  • To review rules and processes to detect, deter prevent work pass abuses and fraud across the value chain, and recommend/implement innovative solutions to address the problems
  • To design and implement relevant and effective checks and controls (IT and non-IT based) to ensure work passes are issued to bona fide employers and foreign workers
  • To manage the appointed vendors that provide audit and information verification services
  • To plan and implement audit programmes to check risks and compliances of companies hiring foreign workers
  • To review results of existing initiatives to ensure their effectiveness and relevancy for meeting the policy intents

 

Requirements

  • Possess tertiary qualification in any discipline
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Have good communication (written and spoken) and interpersonal skills
  • Be a good team player with a customer-focused mindset
  • Be able to work independently and adapt to complex change
