The Ministry of Communications and Information (MCI) provides the edge Singapore needs to excel in the new economy by developing the infocomm and media industries and facilitating effective public communications.

As part of MCI, you will have a key role in remaking Singapore. We work towards our vision by formulating policies to develop and promote Singapore’s infocomm and media sectors. We also foster greater understanding between the Government, Singaporeans and stakeholders by facilitating effective public communications.

Responsibilities

You will formulate, review and assess government policies, budgets and strategic plans to guide and support the development of the infocomm media sector. You will also address issues and utilise opportunities in the converged infocomm media sector, through close collaboration with our statutory boards, relevant divisions within MCI and other Ministries/agencies, to create an optimal environment for economically vibrant and globally competitive infocomm media sector in Singapore.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in infocomm media industries, strategic planning and development, economic analysis or policy formulation
  • Background in Political Science, Economics, Law, Business Management or Engineering
  • Possess strong communication and writing skills, with interest in the infocomm media industries
  • Possess good interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Able to work effectively in teams and independently
  • Able to multi-task and respond to tight deadlines
