The 2 Operations Officer (OO) assists Senior Assistant Director, Operations Development and Readliness (ODR) to enhance the HCCC operational capability and readiness. 2 OO is responsible for developing, reviewing, updating and disseminating doctrines supporting operational processes, obtaining and obtaining, processing and disseminating information related key events for HCCC’s monitoring, coordinating visits and managing projects.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for management of doctrines supporting operational processes which defines the standards among operational teams. 2 OO is responsible for updating the doctrines and briefing the teams on the changes.
  • To attend approval of plans meetings for key events to obtain information relevant for HCCC and prepares the Operations Order with the information to aid HCCC Operations and Support units in event monitoring. 2 OO consolidates the feedback raised from After Action Review of the event and highlights areas for improvement to SAD ODR & DD HCCC. Such feedback may translate to changes in work processes and 2 OO is responsible to update corresponding doctrines to reflect the changes.
  • Responsible for facilitating visits by Homefront Agencies (HFA) and overseas delegates to HCCC for learning purpose and also organising visits for HCCC to HFA to familiarise HCCC staff with HFA operations and staff.
  • Responsible for managing projects/assignments related to enhancing operational processes/capabilities by working with staff from HTDs/HFAs and vendors.
  • To plan the JOG staff duty roster for MHA Operations Cell for monitoring protracted incidents, notifies the staff of the standby schedule and activates the staff when the need arises under the instruction of DD HCCC.
  • To manage the email distribution groups for information disseminated to MHA staff by HCCC/HTDs, password application for Command & Control systems used HCCC staff and update contact list of HFAs.
  • To perform secretariat duties for HCCC meetings.

  • Comfortable with conducting presentations/briefings to visitors
  • Able to work under tight timeline

All new appointees will be appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance.
