Responsibilities

As a manager in the Airport Planning and Design team, you will be involved in strategic long term airport land use planning studies and oversee the detailed planning and design of Terminal 5 (T5) and related infrastructure in Changi East. You will work closely with the airport operator, government agencies, key stakeholders and/or consultants to review airport land use planning and design proposals, ensure proper project planning, management and timely completion of T5 and related design development studies.

Depending on your area of expertise and interest, you will be expected to contribute towards specific areas of airport infrastructure and operations design, e.g. automated passenger movement systems, baggage handling systems, apron design, passenger facilitation design, aerospace industry related facilities etc. In addition, you are also expected to contribute towards ground transportation planning for the new terminal, in collaboration with LTA, NRA, NParks, SLA and related agencies. 

You will also assist to secure the necessary CAAS' funding approvals and structure the various funding agreements between CAAS and the airport operator for Changi East works. The process would involve evaluating reasonableness of the budget estimates and schedules, cash flow projection, project studies monitoring, managing fund disbursement etc. 

Requirements

  • Trained in Engineering, Architecture, Geography, Town Planning, Economics or relevant qualification related to planning and development
  • At least 4 years of relevant working experience
  • Self-motivated, driven, resourceful, a good team player and ability to multi-task
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong conceptual and analytical thinking skills
  • Prior airport/airfield related experience and/or planning of infrastructure projects will be an advantage
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or GIS will be an advantage
