Civil Service College (CSC) Singapore is a statutory board under the Public Service Division, Prime Minister’s Office. We are the central learning institution for the Singapore Public Service and we play a pivotal role in partnering government ministries and agencies to develop people for a first class public service.

CSC brings together public service officers from diverse backgrounds and provides them opportunities to plug into a service-wide network to exchange views, build shared ethos and perspectives, creating a rich environment for dialogue, knowledge sharing and learning.

Through our programmes and services, CSC aims to build commitment and strategic capacity in governance, leadership, public administration and management for the Singapore Public Service.

Project Description:

This project will involve extensive research study and development of learning resources, which will be used to shape CSC's efforts in building data science capabilities across public service.

As an intern, you will:
1. Research on the latest data science trends/ topics and subject matter experts as well as uncover the current needs of a typical public service officer in the domain area of data science.

2. Develop learning resources (e.g. Learning Aids, Self-Assessment Tools) that build data science capabilities across public service

3. Be involved in other related work supporting items 1 and 2

Interns will be involved in every stage of the process, from ideation, to research (desktop and interviews) and development (writing, prototyping, user testing, facilitation etc.). Interns will conduct field research and other relevant studies fit for purpose.

In addition to the above, interns will have the opportunity to collaborate on a joint project to improve the training roadmap for public officers for the existing suite of innovation, digital, data science and future ready programmes.

 

Competencies Required:

  • Competent in digital platforms for resource development
  • Competent in designing learning programmes or development of resources
  • Previous Exposure to Design Thinking and Behavioural Insights
  • Qualitative research
