MOH’s responses to these challenges include preventing and managing the outbreak of diseases such as SARS and Influenza A (H1N1), designing a healthcare system that delivers care in an integrated and effective manner, growing the capacity and capabilities within the sector, and managing healthcare inflation.

As an MOH officer, you will be involved in formulating and implementing policies that guide Singapore’s healthcare ecosystem. You will work alongside a team with varied skills and backgrounds, but with the common goals of (i) promoting good health and reducing illnesses; (ii) ensuring that Singaporeans have access to good and affordable healthcare; and (iii) pursuing medical excellence. Your work will have far-reaching impact on the health and lives of Singaporeans.

Responsibilities

The team will conceptualise and drive the development and implementation of programmes and initiatives under the Action Plan for Successful Ageing, as developed by the Ministerial Committee on Ageing (MCA), to support ageing-in-place.  You will also support the implementation of Community Network for Seniors (CNS) across Singapore and to meet the following objectives:

  • systematic outreach to seniors to improve last mile delivery active ageing and care services, and
  • foster closer government agency collaboration and engage the energies of the people sector to support the elderly.

This includes supporting the People Association (PA) Wellness Programme, Seniors’ Health and Wellness portfolio under Health Promotion Board (HPB) as well as the Moments of Life Active Ageing journey. 

Together with the team, you will develop, review, implement and oversee a community care system, which supports seniors across the socio-economic spectrum, proactively provides preventive health, and integrates social and health support, to support seniors to age in place in the community.

Requirements

  • Relevant knowledge, preferable in the health and social care sector;
  • Relevant skillsets in project management, operationalising and implementing programmes such as financial administration and management;
  • Ability to think at a systems-level together with a keen eye for details;
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills; and
  • Highly driven and motivated, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Candidates with prior supervisory experience may be considered for a more senior role within the team.
