As a statutory board in the Ministry of Communications and Information, IMDA promotes and regulates the infocomm and media sectors.

 

Scope

Conceptualise and execute ICT solutions to transform the transport and logistics industry so as to improve the efficiency, productivity and ICT capability of the industry.

 

Responsibilities

  • Shape and facilitate sectoral innovation and transformation in the Transport, Logistics and e-Commerce sectors by
    • Engaging with the industry to identify potential ICM applications on areas where organizations need to improve their capabilities
    • Identifying companies with innovative technology strategies to co-develop ICM solutions that could drive transformational changes to the transport, logistics and e-commerce industry
    • Developing pilot and POC with targeted users in the industry to demonstrate the feasibility of the solutions for practical potential
  • Conceptualise/contribute to the conceptualising of programmes/initiatives to uplift the ICT capabilities of the transport and logistics industry by
    • Engaging private and public sector stakeholders to understand challenges faced in the logistics industry and identify suitable ICT solutions/interventions
    • Conducting research and survey to quantify and articulate the problems and benefits
    • Conducting Cost-Benefit Analysis to ensure commercial sustainability
    • Validate concept and analysis with potential users and vendors

 

Requirements

  • Excellent written, verbal communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Able work independently with resourceful work attitude
  • Proactive self-starter with an analytical and creative mind
  • Good business acumen with strategic thinking
  • Strong vendor and project management skills
  • Team player and good interpersonal skills
  • Background in Information Technology, Computing or Engineering
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience in Logistics and/or Supply Chain sector preferred
  • In-depth understanding of the logistics and/or Supply Chain ecosystem and the challenges face by various stakeholders
  • Experience in strategic trade and logistics planning, supply chain solutions and formulation of commercial solutions are highly desirable
  • Business development, sales or project management experience is an added advantage

 

 

Position will commensurate with experience.
