As a statutory board in the Ministry of Communications and Information, IMDA promotes and regulates the infocomm and media sectors.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage digital readiness programmes and projects to equip low-income families with connectivity for infocomm usage; and to increase the infocomm usage among the seniors and people with disabilities.
  • Manage the development and implementation of the programmes/projects through engaging and managing stakeholders, industry partners and vendors.
  • Develop and enhance the relationship with key partners in public, people and private sectors to drive alignment of industry and government agencies consumer/citizen adoption drive to DI's programme objectives.
  • Manage and evaluate grant requests effectively so that grants are appropriately extended, financial prudence exercised and meeting the objectives of IMDA.
  • Manage designated vendor and IT contract to ensure vendors meet contractual obligations and customers’ requirements on time and on budget.
  • Conduct regular technology scans to identify trends and familiar with data analytical tools.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in the business or information technology management fields
  • Minimum 5 years’ working experience with relevant experience in programme management
  • Good communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Good people engagement skills
  • Good knowledge and understanding of infocomm technologies trends and infocomm applications for end-users
  • Ability to empathize with social issues
  • Past experiences in processing government grants, IT web project management and/or working in/with community and social service sector are useful

 

Position will commensurate with experience.
