Happening from the May to August period, the State Courts’ internship programme offers students an insight into the operations and challenges met by the State Courts. We are looking for students who have a keen interest in seeing whether there are better ways of doing the right thing in law and court administration. If you would like to be part of the programme, we look forward to your application.

Please see below for a brief description of some of the work that you may be involved in. If there is an area that you are particularly interested in, please indicate so in your application.

 

Community Justice

• Implementing and operationalising the Protection from Harassment Court and assisting litigants-in-person

Dispute Resolution

• Research work for a publication on judge-led dispute resolution

Data Analytics

• Design dashboards on Tableau for performance measurement indicators

Service Excellence

• Service and process redesign to improve service delivery and court users' experience

• Development of service channel and differentiation strategy

• Coordinating Customer Relationship Management system development activities to improve service delivery and customer experience

Specialist Services

• Setting up of case management system to support the work of court counsellors

 

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum commitment of 8 weeks and up to 12 weeks starting from 13 May 2018

• Undergraduates from all disciplines of study

• Keen interest in the law and court administration

• Good writing and interpersonal/communication skills

• Independent, self-motivated and a positive team player

 

Please note that only shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview, and the selected candidate will be assigned to any of our Divisions.
