The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) was established on 2 February 1996, with the mission to develop Singapore as a premier global hub port and international maritime centre (IMC), and to advance and safeguard Singapore's strategic maritime interests.

MPA is the driving force behind Singapore's port and maritime development, taking on the roles of Port Authority, Port Regulator, Port Planner, IMC Champion, and National Maritime Representative.

MPA partners the industry and other agencies to enhance safety, security and environmental protection in our port waters, facilitate port operations and growth, expand the cluster of maritime ancillary services, and promote maritime R&D and manpower development.

Reporting to the Head of the Maritime Cyber Security team, the officer will formulate and enforce ICT security policies, standards and procedures for MPA ICT systems. This includes conducting risk assessments, working closely with systems developers, testers and users to conduct security review and penetration testing to ensure compliance with the Whole-of-Government standards. The officer will be required to keep abreast of the latest ICT security best practices and technologies in the industry as well as the emerging threats and vulnerabilities and on this front, recommend appropriate controls or mitigations to improve MPA and ICT security postures.

As the officer driving ICT security, the officer will be required to provide ICT security consultancy to internal IT teams and external maritime stakeholders. In maintaining the security of the ICT systems, the officer will update the security measures, perform routine user access review and operational tasks and update processes to prevent any unauthorised access, manage the organisation’s security incident response and oversee the updating of the standard operating procedures of various IT security incidents.

The officer should possess professional accreditation such as Certified Information Security Manager, Certified Information Systems Security Professional, Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT and Certified Information Systems Auditor, and have at least 5 years of experience in ICT/ Operational Technology (OT) related role in the areas of cyber security governance, risk management, cyber security defence, cyber incident management and investigation in a complex IT/OT environment. He /She should possess strong technical and domain knowledge on network, application and operating systems security, vulnerability assessment and penetration testing, incident management, OT and IoT security.

The officer should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills. He/she should be adept in vendor risk management, user access management, business continuity planning and incident response management.
