Casino Regulatory Authority (CRA) was formed in 2008 under the Ministry of Home Affairs to (i) enforce the Casino Control Act; (ii) ensure that the management and operation of casinos in Singapore is and remains free from criminal influence or exploitation; (iii) ensure that gaming in the casinos is conducted honestly; and (iv) contain and control the potential of the casinos to cause harm to minors, vulnerable persons and society at large.


Unit Profile

The Investigations Division of CRA conducts investigation mainly into regulatory offences, and breaches stipulated in the Casino Control Act and its subsidiary legislation.


Job Description

As an Assistant Manager/Manager (Investigations), you will report to the Senior Assistant Director (Investigations).  You will be part of a team of officers who is responsible for the following duties:

  • Conduct investigations into reports of offences and regulatory breaches and forfeiture of winnings as stipulated under the CCA as well as selected criminal offences under the CRA.
  • Work closely with relevant CRA Divisions and strategic partners to make appropriate recommendations on such investigations, on disciplinary action to be taken.
  • Contributes towards the development and review of IT systems, processes and ad hoc projects to enhance capabilities and optimize investigation processes.
  • Assist in the research, review, develop and formulate investigation policies and framework as well as ensure sound and robust investigation support systems.
  • Any other tasks assigned.

Your work will enable you to gain insights into the operations of the casinos and various aspects of the regulatory role that CRA performs.  Together with other members of the CRA team, you serve an important part in advancing CRA’s mission and vision.

You will have opportunities to be rotated to other areas of work within CRA, as part of your development as a casino regulator.  



  • Preferably with 1 year work experience in a regulatory/enforcement environment;
  • Analytical, adaptable, resourceful and inquisitive;
  • Strong communication and inter-personal skills;
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team and;
  • Prepared to work after office hours, which include weekends and public holidays.
